SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The device DIAPASON is
- a set composed by:
• the lanyard 216.000 Y ARO ADVENTURE EVO (A), compliant with
EN 354:2010;
• an aluminium spacer (B);
• two connectors (D) compliant with EN 362 and their Fast-rubber;
- a stance adjuster for evacuation from confi ned environments, so
allows you to keep the person in a vertical position during extraction
from particularly narrow environments (fi g. 1).
Use
Attach the two connectors (D) to the harness shoulder straps to lift or
lower a person head-up (fi g. 2).
Attach the two connectors (D) to the ankle straps of a rescue loop to
lift or lower a person upside down (fi g. 3).
Important: in the CE context, the use of a safety sling connected
between the suspension connector inserted in the loop (G) and the
dorsal attachment of the harness is mandatory (fi g. 4).
Compatibility
This device is designed to be used with:
- harnesses conforming to EN 361;
- rescue loops conforming to EN 1498 class C.
Warning:
- when positioning the device, check that the anchor point is positioned
above the user and that the system of which this device is part is
always tensioned so as to limit possible falls (fi g. 5);
- appropriate precautions must be taken if the device could hit sharp
edges;
- the resistance of the secondary seams (F) is 3 kN.
Checks before and after use
Before and after use, make sure that the device is in an effi cient
condition and that it is working properly, in particular, check that:
- it is suitable for the intended use;
- textile parts do not have cuts, burns, chemical residues, excessive
hair, wear, in particular check the areas in contact with the two
connectors (D);
- stitching is intact, and there are no cut or loose threads;
- metal parts are free of cracks, corrosion, mechanical deformation
and that any wear and tear is only of an aesthetic nature;
- markings, including labels, are legible.
