TOOL ASSEMBLY

TO REMOVE PAD: Use ½ inch socket wrench to remove the center bolt. Insert flat blade
screwdriver between polisher and the pad as shown. Turn bolt clockwise. To replace pad turn
bolt counterclockwise.
OPERATION
1. Fit a clean bonnet on the pad.
2. Spread a teaspoonful of wax evenly over bonnet surface.
3. Apply 2 swirls of cleaner/glaze over the wax on the bonnet,
NOT DIRECTLY ON THE CAR. The most common error is
applying too much wax and cleaner/glaze. If pad becomes
saturated, POLISHING WILL BE MORE DIFFICULT AND TAKE
LONGER. It may also reduce pad life.
4. For additional applications of wax and cleaner/glaze, use 1
swirl. The bonnet will not absorb as much when reloading. Badly
oxidized paint may require several applications. Do not use
abrasive compounds.
5. Always start and stop polisher on or against the surface of the
car. If bonnet continually comes off pad, you may have used too
much wax, cleaner, or glaze.

6. Place cord over shoulder and begin applying wax and cleaner/
glaze to the front half of the car, working from front to back.
Cover flat surfaces with broad, sweeping strokes in a crisscross
pattern as shown. DO NOT press down on the polisher. The
machine's action, not pressure, does the best job. If wax seems
difficult to buff, you may have used too much wax.
7. Reapply wax and cleaner/glaze and repeat on the sides of
the car with short, sweeping strokes. Using one hand, hold the
polisher as you would a suitcase and with your other hand,
support the body of the waxer from the bottom.
8. Finally, remove bonnet and apply wax and cleaner/glaze by had
to all hard-to-reach surfaces—under the bumpers, around the
door handles, etc.
Note: Some types of auto wax require drying time before
polishing the vehicle. For better results, follow instructions given
by your wax manufacturer.
9. Put the wool bonnet on the polisher. Buff the wax with the
polisher in the same order it was applied, as shown in steps 6
to 8.
MAINTENANCE
Bonnets can be machine washed separately in cold water with a small amount of
detergent on a few-minutes cycle, then machine dried at medium heat. However, hand
washing and air-drying is recommended for longer bonnet life.
To prolong pad life and shape, always store polisher with pad face up.
Remove bonnet from the pad when polisher is not in use so pad can dry out and retain its
original shape.
Use only mild soap and a damp sponge to clean polisher. Do not immerse any part in
liquid. If polisher needs repair, use only identical replacement parts.
