Note: During this operating mode, the circulation pump would start to work although there is no water in the
storage tank. This may damage the pump by running dry!
The control of a reverse osmosis unit as automatic refill is only recommended for very big aquaria with a refill
requirement of at least 10 to 20 litres of water.
Operating mode of aquaniveau with two float switches
Connect both float switches to the sockets sensor 1 and sensor 2. Put the changeover switch in position 1.
The switch „sensor 2" marks the minimum water level in the refill tank. It should be fixed in a way that it
switches off before the pump sucks in air. The LED „sensor 2" lights up.
If water is filled into the storage tank, the LED „sensor 2" goes off and the pump will be released to start.
Now, switch 1 regulates the water level in the filter as described above (operating mode with one float
switch).

Maximum/minimum control
As a maximum/minimum control, the device basically operates with two float switches. It is used to keep the
water level in a tank within certain limits.
The aquaniveau is often used for pure water tanks in reverse osmosis units because the water level must be
kept at a certain limit to always ensure the storage of sufficient osmosis water. However, in order to ensure that
the system is not switched on every water withdrawal and a minimum running time of the osmosis system is
achieved, two sensors are used which mark a maximum and a minimum water level.
Operating mode of the aquaniveau with two float switches
Connect the unit to power and the LED „power" lights up.
The „max." switch/probe (sensor 1) is mounted in the tank so that it marks the desired maximum water
level.
The „min." switch/probe (sensor 2) is mounted in the tank so that it marks the minimum water level. If the
tank is filled up, the LED's „sensor 1" resp. „sensor 2" are off. If this is not the case, the floaters have to be
turned around as described at the passage aquaniveau with one float switch. If the water level drops, firstly
the „max." switch runs dry and the LED lights up. If the "min." switch drops down as well and the LED's
"sensor 2" and "output" light up, the solenoid valve of a reverse osmosis unit will be activated and the tank
will be filled up to the desired maximum water level.
