There is no sound or distorted sound.
Ensure that the MUTE function is not engaged.
Ensure that the volume level is not too low or too high.
Poor reception will adversely affect the sound. Try repositioning the antenna, or tune to a different
channel.
The remote control doesn't work.
Ensure that the Power Switch has been physically set to the ON position.
Ensure that there are no obstacles between the remote and the player.
Ensure that the remote is pointed at the remote sensor of the TV.
Ensure that the plastic tab that protects the battery during shipping has been removed.
Ensure that the battery in the remote retains a charge and has been installed correctly.
The player has malfunctioned.
Unplug the unit. Wait 30 minutes, then plug in and power on the player—the restore function should
reset the player.
