Tips for Use
Take all precautions possible to avoid spilling liquids onto the hotplate when hot.
Do not use the appliance if the surface is broken or damaged; in case you find a
crack on the appliance, disconnect immediately the electric supply and contact the
After-Sales service.
Bear in mind that the cooking zones remain hot for a while.
Never clean with high-pressure water or steam-cleaning equipment.
Do not put flammable materials (paper, plastic, etc...) on the cooking zones (plates
or glass-ceramic).
Do not allow heavy or sharp objects to fall on the glass-ceramic cook top.
Do not stare at the halogen lamps on the cook top.
Use flat bottomed pans only with a diameter large enough to cover the entire
burner surface.
Ceramic Hob Cleaning
The electric plates must be cleaned when they are just slightly warm.
Clean with a damp rag and finish with a "scraper".
Tips for Energy Saving
•
Always use the cover corresponding to each pot. When cooking without a lid, the
energy consumption is somewhat greater.
•
Use a glass lid to see inside without having to lift it.
•
Use containers flatbed. If the base is not flat, the energy consumption is greater.
•
The diameter of the base of the container must match the size of the cooking zone.
Warning: the vessels manufacturers indicate, generally, the upper diameter of the
container, which is often greater than the diameter of the base of the receptacle.
•
For small amounts, use small pans. A large bowl and filled just needs a lot of energy.
•
For cooking, use a little water. Thus, it saves energy and preserves all the vitamins
and minerals in vegetables.
•
Select the lowest power level needed for cooking. Too high is a waste of energy.
