2. The device beeps once as confir-
mation that the On-Off-Switch has
been pressed and another time as a
confirmation that the warm keeping
function had been activated.
3. The cooking process is started
immediately after that. Therefore,
select the desired temperature that
has to be retained by the kettle
directly after activating the warm
keeping function. Activate the
Temperature Selection switch (5) to
select the desired temperature.
4. The active warm keeping function
is confirmed through the continuous
flashing of both the switches and the
blinking of the LED lights.
5. Should you desire still higher tem-
perature after ending the process,
then select the desired temperature
by activating the appropriate switch
(5). The kettle heats the water afresh
now to the new desired temperature.
Preparing tea:
1. Heat the desired amount of water
as described under boiling water
(100°C) or as described under
Temperature Selection (60, 70, 80,
90°C).
2. Fill the tea filter with the desired
amount of tea.
3. Wait until the water has reached
the desired temperature.
4. Now remove the backplate insert
carefully. Proceed with care in doing
so and watch out for the water vapor
being discharged! If required, use a
potholder or something similar!
5. Place the tea filter in the accom-
modation of the cover. Take care of
the housing in the cover.

let the tea steep as desired. Kindly
note the recommendations on the
packing of the tea here.
7. After the tea has been steeped
as desired, remove the filter and
carefully set down on a heat- and
moisture resistant surface.
8. Now place the backplate insert
back in the cover to close the kettle.
9. When desired, the warm keeping
function of the kettle can be
activated as described under warm
keeping function (60, 70, 80, 90,
100°C).
10. Cleaning
DANGER-
ELECTRIC SHOCK!
• Pull out the mains plug from the
socket before you clean the electric
kettle.
• The electric kettle, the appliance
base, the connecting cable and
the mains plug are not allowed to
be immersed in the water or other
liquids.
WARNING-
RISK OF INJURY!
• The electric kettle becomes very
hot after operating it. Let it cool
down before cleaning.
