- when inserting a nail strip (not supplied with the tool)
tilt the tool in such a way, that the nail strip rests
against the magazine side which corresponds with
the nail symbol on tacker head E 9
• Operating the tool 0
- fi rmly press tacker head E against the workpiece until
it is pushed in a few millimetres
- green light F will turn on indicating that the tool is
ready to staple
- briefl y press switch G and then release again
- switch G is locked as long as you do not press tacker
head E against the workpiece and green light F does
not turn on, thus preventing accidental operation
! remove all staples/nails from the magazine after
each use
• Impact control !
With wheel H the required impact level can be selected
in steps
- indicator J shows the selected impact level
- "Min." for thin and light materials such as foils and
fabrics
- "Max." for thick and tough materials such as hard
woods and walls
- before starting a job, fi nd the optimal impact level by
testing out on spare material
! set the impact level to "Min." after each use in
order to relieve the tension spring

• Vibration level
The vibration emission level stated at the back of this
instruction manual has been measured in accordance
with a standardised test given in EN 60745; it may be
used to compare one tool with another and as a
preliminary assessment of exposure to vibration when
using the tool for the applications mentioned
- using the tool for different applications, or with
different or poorly maintainted accessories, may
signifi cantly increase the exposure level
- the times when the tool is switched off or when it is
running but not actually doing the job, may
signifi cantly reduce the exposure level
! protect yourself against the effects of vibration by
maintaining the tool and its accessories, keeping
your hands warm, and organizing your work
patterns
MAINTENANCE / SERVICE
• Keep tool and charger clean
! unplug charger from power source before
cleaning
• If the tool/charger should fail despite the care taken in
manufacturing and testing procedures, repair should be
carried out by an after-sales service centre for SKIL
power tools
- send the tool or charger undismantled together with
proof of purchase to your dealer or the nearest SKIL
service station (addresses as well as the service
diagram of the tool are listed on

- in observance of European Directive 2002/96/EC on
waste of electric and electronic equipment and its
