1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including the following:

DANGER –
As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically
live even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
1. Check that the voltage of your electricity supply matches the voltage of your appliance. Any error
when connecting the appliance can cause irreparable harm, not covered by the warranty.
2. Always unplug the iron immediately after using.
3. Do not use while bathing.
4. Do not place or store your iron where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
5. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
6. Never use your iron with wet hands or near water contained in bathtubs, showers, sinks or other
liquids.
7. If an appliance falls into water, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the water.
WARNING–
To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:
1. An iron should never be left unattended when plugged in.
2. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or
individuals with certain disabilities.
3. Use the iron only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use
attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
4. Never operate your iron if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly,
or if it has been dropped, damaged, or dropped into water. Return the iron to a service
center for examination and repair.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the cord around the iron.
6. Never block the air openings of the iron or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or
couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any opening or hose.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or
where oxygen is being administered.
10. Unplug this appliance before filling. Fill reservoir with water only.
11. This straightner is hot when in use. Do not let heated surfaces touch bare skin.
12. While emitting steam, this straightner may cause burns if it is used too close to the
skin, scalp or eyes, of if it is used incorrectly.
13. Do not use an extension cord with this iron.
14. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other heat sensitive areas.
15. Attachments may be hot during use. Allow them to cool before handling.
16. Do not place the iron on any surface while it is hot or plugged in.
17. While using the iron, keep your hair away from the air inlets.
18. Do not operate with a voltage converter.
19. This iron is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance by a
person reponsible for their safety.Children should
be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the iron.
20. Do not clean with abrasive or corrosive
products.
21. Do not use at temperatures below 50°F and
above 95°F.
22. The iron and attachments are hot when in
use. Do not let eyes and bare skin touch heated
surfaces.
23. To reduce the risk of contact with hot water
emitting from steam vents, test straightner before
each use by holding it away from body and
operating steam button.
The rated power is based on a typical usage
cycling 10s open plates and 10s closed plates.
˝This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug

will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature˝

with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no
responsibility and the guarantee will not apply.
