Note, on some vehicles the seam sealer just under the hood edge is
quite thick. It may be necessary to open up the metal mounting brackets
to allow them to slide over the hood edge. Alternatively, trim back the
seam sealer in those locations.

Assemble a Torx head screw and shoulder washer as illustrated
and thread a screw through the hood protector and into the
center pedestal. Check that the hood protector is straight and
centered on the hood. Tighten the screw so it's snug but not
tight.

enfiler une vis à travers le protecteur de capot et dans le

Keeping hood protector in position, locate the two pockets on
each side as shown. Directly in front of these, at the hood
edge, place an abrasion pad on the underside of the hood.
The abrasion pad is oriented with the long edge aligned with
the edge of the hood and centered under the pocket.
Fixer définitivement le pylône central au capot de protection
rouge en décollant la marche arrière. Placer soigneusement
sur la surface du capot dans la position comme illustré. Faites

Temporarily place a mounting pedestal at the edge of the hood
where the abrasion pad is and slide a bracket over each, as
illustrated.
Desserrez les vis qui retiennent les clips et retirez le
protecteur de capot. Ne retirez pas les attaches latérales du
capot du protecteur de capot.
10. As illustrated, assemble a Torx head screw and a shoulder
washer and install them in the four positions from Step 9. Only
thread the screw in a couple of turns as this is just a temporary
step to hold the hood protector in position while other pedestal
positions are determined. You may need to adjust the position
of the mounting pedestal slightly to align with the hole in the
hood protector. Ensure the hood protector is straight and
centered on the hood.
Comme illustré, montez une vis de tête Torx et une rondelle
d'épaule et installez-les dans les quatre positions à partir de
l'étape 9. Enfoncez uniquement la vis dans quelques tours car
