PERCHES DE SAUVETAGE
1- CARACTERISTIQUES
Les perches de sauvetage de la série CS-.. sont adaptées pour une utilisation sous une tension
inférieure ou égale à celle indiquée dans le tableau..
2- MODE D'EMPLOI
Les perches de sauvetage CS-.. sont utilisées, dans le cadre d'une électrisation de personne,
pour dégager en toute sécurité le ou les éléments dangereux de la zone d'accident.
Lors des interventions, les conditions suivantes s'appliquent :
Le cas échéant, l'utilisateur installe le crochet amovible sur la perche (réf CS-45/1)
L'utilisateur place ses mains sous le garde-main (selon les instructions de l'étiquette de
signalisation)
A l'aide du crochet, il déplace les éléments électrisants (câbles électriques par ex.) ou éloigne
la personne électrisée de la zone dangereuse.
L'outil est conçu pour être utilisé hors précipitation et il convient de ne jamais le déposer au sol
ou le mettre en contact avec tout autre matériau humide.
3- RECOMMANDATIONS D'UTILISATION ET DE MAINTENANCE
3.1 Vérification et nettoyage
La propreté de la perche et sa surface lustrée siliconée constituent la clé de la performance
isolante.
L'étiquette apposée sur la perche permet d'inscrire la date de la dernière vérification ou la
date de la prochaine vérification. Pour cela, il suffit de gratter légèrement le revêtement
noir de l'étiquette avec une pointe dure afin de faire apparaître la couche inférieure blanche
de l'étiquette. En tant que fabricant, CATU vous recommande d'effectuer les contrôles et
nettoyages suivants :
APRÈS UTILISATION :
• Faire une inspection visuelle.
• Validez qu'il n'y a pas de graisse ou de saleté incrustée sur les tubes.
• Validez qu'il n'y a pas de rayure sévère ou de craquelure.
• Validez qu'il n'y a aucun bris de mécanisme.
• Essuyez la perche avant chaque utilisation avec un chiffon siliconé (Référence CATU :
MO-984).
NOTE 1 : Pour toute non-conformité lors de cette inspection vous devez procéder aux contrôles
de l'inspection annuelle.
ANNUELLEMENT :
• Faire un nettoyage complet pour enlever les graisses et autres saletés incrustées. Nettoyer
avec un produit d'entretien approuvé pour les outils pour travaux sous tension (suivre les
instructions d'utilisation) ou de l'alcool isopropylique pour les saletés incrustées.
• Afin d'enlever ces poussières et saletés, recréer et augmenter l'isolation, nettoyer
complètement avec un chiffon enduit de silicone (Référence CATU MO-984).
• Vérifier l'isolement de la perche grâce au vérificateur de perche CATU MX-215. Pour toute
non-conformité lors de l'inspection annuelle vous devez placer l'article en quarantaine ou
hors d'usage.
NOTE 2 : Pour le nettoyage, ne pas utiliser de détergent savonneux, liquide ou en poudre pour
éviter tout résidu conducteur ou détérioration des surfaces lustrées.

3.2 Stockage et transport
En règle générale, la perche CS-.. est placée sur ses supports muraux dans les ouvrages ou
installations électriques. La perche doit être stockée propre et siliconée, dans un endroit sec
et propre.
Il est recommandé que la perche soit transportée individuellement dans un étui de façon
à éviter toute abrasion ou tout contact physique qui pourrait endommager la surface de la
perche.
3.3 Mise au rebut
Lors des inspections après usage et annuelles, s'il est démontré que la perche n'est plus
correctement isolée, la perche doit être impérativement mise au rebus.
4- ACCESSOIRES COMPLEMENTAIRES
Perches livrées avec supports muraux CI-06-D.
MO-984 (à commander séparément) :
Chiffon siliconé permettant de maintenir les caractéristiques isolantes de la perche. Il est
nécessaire de nettoyer et de sécher les surfaces avant l'application du chiffon.
RESCUE STICKS
1- CHARACTERISTICS
Insulating rescue sticks from CS-.. series are suitable to be used with a maximum voltage as
shown in the table.
2- USE
Insulating rescue sticks CS-.. are used, when someone is electrized, to remove safely any
dangerous elements from the accident area.
During the operation the following conditions apply:
Optionally, the user installs the removable hook on the insulating stick (ref. CS-45/1).
User puts his hands under the handguard (following the red label instructions).
Using the hook, he removes any electrizing objects (e.g. live wires) or takes away the electrized
person from dangerous area.
The equipment is not designed to be used in rain conditions and it should never be put down
on the ground or put in contact with other humid materials.
3- RECOMMENDATIONS OF USAGE AND MAINTENANCE
3.1.Verification and cleaning
The cleanliness of the insulating stick and its shiny silicone surface are the key of the insulation
performance.
The label fixed on the insulating stick makes it possible to write the latest or next periodic
inspection date by gently scratching the black coating of the label with a hard tip in order to
expose the white under-layer of the label. As a manufacturer, CATU recommends the following
controls and cleanings:
AFTER USE:
• Perform a visual inspection.
• Confirm there is neither grease nor dirt sitting on the tube.
• Confirm there are no major scratches or cracks.
• Confirm that there is no breakage of mechanism.
• Wipe the insulating stick before every use with a silicon rag (Reference CATU: MO-984).
NOTE 1: For any non-compliance during this inspection the controls of the annual inspection
have to be carried out.
ANNUALLY:
• Perform a complete cleaning to remove grease and other encrusted dirt. Clean with a
maintenance product approved for the tools for live working (follow the instructions of
use) or isopropyl alcohol to remove encrusted dirt.
• In order to remove the dirt and dust, rebuild and increase the insulation, clean completely
with a silicon rag (Reference CATU MO-984).
• Check the insulation of the insulating stick with the help of a CATU MX-215. For any
non-compliance during the annual inspection you have to place the insulating stick in
quarantine or discard it.
NOTE 2: For the cleaning, to avoid all conductive residue or deterioration of shiny surfaces, do
not use any soapy, liquid or powdery detergent.
3.2 Storage and transport
Usually, the insulating stick is set with its wall mounting brackets into electrical installations.
The insulating stick has to be stored in a dry and clean place, cleaned and wiped with the
silicon rag.
It is recommended that the insulating stick is transported individually in a carrying bag so as
to avoid any abrasion or physical contact which could damage the insulating stick surface.
3.3 Scrapping
Further to after-use and annual inspections, should the insulating stick be considered as
improperly insulating or unsafe, it has to be immediately discarded.
4- COMPLEMENTARY ACCESSORIES
Delivered with wall supports CI-06-D.
MO-984 (to be ordered separately):
Silicone rag to maintain the insulating properties of the stick. It is necessary to clean and dry
the surfaces before using the rag.
Isolierrettungsstäbe
1- EIGENSCHAFTEN
Isolierende Rettungsstangen des Serie CS.-- eignen sich für die Verwendung mit einer
maximalen Spannung wie in der Tabelle angegeben.
2- ANWENDUNG
Wenn jemand unter Strom gesetzt wird, werden Isolierrettungsstäbe CS-.. verwendet, um
gefährliche Elemente sicher aus dem Unfallbereich zu entfernen.
Während der Anwendung gelten die folgenden Bedingungen:
• Der Benutzer bringt den abnehmbaren Haken optional auf dem Isolierstab an (Ref. CS-
45/1).
• Der Benutzer legt seine Hände unter den Handschutz (nach den Anweisungen des roten
Etiketts).
• Mit dem Haken entfernt er alle stromführenden Gegenstände (z.B. stromführende Drähte)
oder bringt die unter Strom stehende Person aus dem Gefahrenbereich weg.
