tape recording is achieved, if control (2) is set to center
position.
Aerials
The built-in aerials — ferrite rod for long and medium wave
and the throw-out antenna for VHF/FM
and short wave —
give good reception performance
under normal conditions.
However, if the reception performance is not adequate, a
good outside aerial and earth lead should be used for the
long, medium and short wave ranges, and an outside dipole
for VHF/FM. The outside aerial should be connected to
socket (11) and the earth lead to socket (10). If an outside
VHF/FM
dipole must be removed from the socket (8), and
the outside dipole connected to this socket in its place.
Power
Supply
This receiver is set for 220 V/AC mains voltage (point A).
The power transformer is also provided for 110 V/AC mains
voltage supply (point B). In this case please see your
dealer for proper service changes to be made.
Do not remove back of set unless the mains cord has been
pulled out.
Fuse
When
adjusting the set for 110 V, the fuse must be
replaced by a 0.16 amp. rated current fuse of the "medium
delayed action" type. Never bridge the fuses, otherwise the
set may be damaged. Make sure that your power socket
gives perfect contact.
