c) Secure
venturis,
applicable) and hold down bracket bolt to
burner by using four self-tapping screws.
A ach the burner hold down bracket bolt on the
opposite side of tubes from the ignitor bracket.
Do not overtighten screws.
d) Place gaskets and cover plates over remaining
openings in burner and bolt it to the burner
using four self-tapping screws. Do not
overtighten screws.
e) Venturis are both expanding and flexible so they
may be custom fit to your BBQ. Place the old and
new burners next to each other and extend and
bend the flexible tubing on new venturis like the
old burner. Hold venturis securely while
bending to avoid loosening connection or
damaging gaskets.
f) Turn the new burner assembly over so the
venturis point downward and lower burner into
your BBQ. The burner hold down bracket bolt
will be protruding downward and should be
maneuvered through any of the openings in
bo om of grill casting. Be careful to fit venturis
properly over gas orifices on the BBQ
(FIGURE B).
g) With the burner firmly seated in the center of
grill casting, place bracket over bracket bolt
and thread wing nut onto bolt. Hand tighten
wingnut to secure burner in proper position.

h) Safety feature: Fix one locking screw on each
end of venturi tube. Tightly wrap one end of
each steel wire around the locking screws on
each venturi tube. Tightly wrap the other end of
each steel wire around the control valve body.
The safety wires should be tight to act as an
additional feature to keep the burner in place
(FIGURE C).
i) Test the burner before installing grates and lava
rocks. A blue cone-shaped flame should burn
evenly around the burner within thirty
seconds after ignition. The venturi tubes are
manufactured so that no air adjustment
is required.
CAUTION
Adjustment of burner is the most critical step of the
installation. Wrong mating of venturi tubes over
gas orifices will result in malfunction of this unit.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in
property damage and injury.
