Take the device out of the package and remove all the packaging material. Open
the battery compartment on the back of the device and insert four 1.5V button
cell batteries (Type LR44). Ensure that the polarity of the contacts is correct
while inserting the batteries. The flat "+" contact has to face the spring. Press the
"POWER" button for about 2 seconds to switch on the power supply. The display
of the device shows "00%". Remove the protective cap from the probe. Perform
the test by carefully pressing (without applying too much force) on the outside
of the probes. Ensure that your fingers are dry. If the display shows a value of
approximately 15-20%, then the device is working properly.
