Scope of delivery:
1 Pair of rubber grips
Installation of the handlebar grips:
1. Before the installation, make sure that your vehicle is standing safe. Before the installation, check the appropriate outer diameter of the handlebars or the inner diameter of the grips with a calliper.
2. Dismantle any existing handlebar ends and, if necessary, instruments to prevent scratching during the assembly.
3. The old handlebar grips are removed as follows:
3.1 Use a screwdriver to lift up the end of the grip and squirt some detergent solution under the grips. Alternatively, brake cleaner can be used for rubber grips (rubber grip only). If you no longer want to use the old grips, you
can cut them open with a knife. It is essential to ensure that the rotary gas sleeve is not damaged, as it is usually made of thin plastic.
3.2 Carefully slide the grip off the handlebars.
4. It is easiest to assemble with the grips warmed up. Soak the grips in a lukewarm water / detergent solution for a few minutes. CAUTION: Since the detergent solution is evaporating very slowly, the full grip of the grips on the
handlebars is reached after 24 hours at the earliest. Alternatively, brake cleaner can be used to make it easier to slide the grips onto the handlebars. The turned aluminium parts remain on the grip during the installation (Fig.2)!
5. Note the different inside diameters of the grips (Fig.1).
6. Fit any previously removed instruments or handlebar ends.
7.
CAUTION:
It is essential to check that the grips on the handlebars and the throttle sleeve are securely attached! The throttle tube can be rotated freely and must immediately and independently return to the idle position when the
grip is released. Neither the instruments nor the handlebar ends slow down the rotation of the grip!
8. CAUTION: A jammed throttle affects driving safety!
