758LP Instructions
1. DISCONNECT POWER TO BRANCH CIRCUIT. Remove exsiting Light Control from the post. Install
according to Assembly Instructions (A thru D) below.
2. DO NOT INSTALL THE LIGHT CONTROL WITH THE PHOTOCELL FACING ARTIFICIAL OR REFLECTED
LIGHT. This will cause the unit to cycle on and off at night (see Problem Solving).
3. It is normal for switch to take several minutes to turn off when first installed. To test "turn on
function" during day, cover eye with black tape or other opaque material. Do not cover with
finger because light traveling through finger may be great enough to keep switch open. Test
will take approximately 2 minutes.
4. Check the following before you replace an inoperative Light Control.
Operation is not affected by weather, moisture or temperature
changes.
NOTE: This product can be used with incandescent, fluorescent, LED, mercury vapor and sodium
bulbs.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
A. From the interior of the
lamp post (not included)
feed the power supply
wires, ground wire and
lighting fixture through the
pre-drilled 1-3/8 in. diameter
hole, located 4-1/4 in. from
the top of the post.
B. Connect the black wire
from the light control to the
black power supply wire (Live
wire) using a wire connector.
Connect the red wire from
the light control to the black
light fixture wire using a wire
connector. Connect the
white wire from the light
control to the white power
supply wire (Neutral wire)
and the white light fixture
wire using a wire connector.
Note: The wires must not be exposed after installation

Lamp Post Light Control
C. Plug male connector (B)
into female connector (C)
which is pre-attached to the
photo eye (A).
D. Insert photo eye (A) into
the pre-drilled 1-3/8 in.
diameter hole from which
you pulled and connected
the wires. Secure the photo
eye (A) to the lamp post
(not included) by threading
the mounting screws (AA)
into the pre-drilled holes on
the photo eye (A). Tighten
the screws with a Phillips
screwdriver.
