COUNTERWEIGHT SUPPORT FOR JD SERIES X300 / X500 #701104
NOTE: Counterweights are sold separately.
a) Install the right support plate (item 1) and the left support plate (item 2) on the back of the tractor with two
hex. bolts 1/2" x 1 1/4" (item 3) and two nylon insert lock nuts 1/2" (item 4) in the holes A.
Do not tighten the bolts and nuts.
NOTE:
For the John Deere X500 tractors: to facilitate the installation of the two hex. bolts 1/2" x 1 1/4", slide the
two bolts in the slots on the tractor frame (figure A, item D) first.
b) For the John Deere X300 series tractor: In holes B, install as shown two hex. bolts 7/16" x 1 1/4" (item 5),
two flat washers (item 6), two spacers (item 7) and two nylon insert lock nuts 7/16" (item 8). Do not tighten.
For the John Deere X500 series tractor: In holes C, install as shown two hex. bolts 7/16" x 1 1/4" (item 5),
two flat washers (item 6), two spacers (item 7) and two nylon insert lock nuts 7/16" (item 8). Do not tighten.
c) Slide the support flat bar (item 9) in the slots on the support plates. In the slots of the support plates.
d) Firmly tighten all the bolts and nuts.
e) Place the six weights (item 10) between the support plates (items 1 & 2) and secure in place with the long pin
(item 11) through the support plates and the counterweights. Lock in place with a 4mm hair pin (item 12) at each
end.
