Switching on and off (fig. E)
• Press the lock-off slider (2) to the left to unlock
the tool.
• To run the tool, press the variable speed switch (1).
The pressure exerted on the variable speed
switch determines the tool speed.
• To stop the tool, release the switch.
• Press the lock-off slider (2) to the right to lock the
tool in the off position.
Always lock the tool in the off position
before leaving it unattended.
Operating the tool (fig. F & G)
• Line up one edge of the middle cutter blade with
the cutting line on the workpiece.
• Switch the tool on.
• Slowly advance the cutter blade into the workpiece.
• Always wear gloves when working with
sheet metal.
• Hold the tool as shown in fig. F; holding
the tool as shown in fig. G is to be avoided.
• Do not use the shear with any kind of
accessory or attachment! Such usage
might be hazardous.
Maintenance
Your Elu Power Tool has been designed to operate
over a long period of time with a minimum of
maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation
depends upon proper tool care and regular cleaning.
Lubrication
Your tool requires no additional lubrication.
Cleaning
• Unplug the charger before cleaning the housing
with a soft cloth.
• Remove the battery pack before cleaning your
Power Tool.
• Keep the ventilation slots clear and regularly
clean the housing with a soft cloth.

Environment
Rechargeable battery pack
This long life battery pack must be recharged when
it fails to produce sufficient power on jobs which
were easily done before. At the end of its technical
life, discard it with due care for our environment:
• Run the battery pack down completely,
then remove it from the tool.
• NiCd and NiMH cells are recyclable. Take them
to your dealer or a local recycling station.
The collected battery packs will be recycled or
disposed of properly.
Unwanted tools
Take your tool to an Elu authorised repair agent
where it will be disposed of in an environmentally
safe way.
Elu After-Sales service
All Elu Power Tools are thoroughly tested before
leaving the factory. However, if the Power Tool
needs repair, please contact your dealer or the Elu
Head Office for the address of the nearest Elu
authorized repair agent (please refer to the back of
this manual). Alternatively, a list of authorized Elu
repair agents and full details on our after-sales
