INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
277 "MIDGET" MODEL LEVELOMETER
(HAND PUMP TYPE)
ULC Listed "level gauge for combustible liquids"
ANSI/CAN/UL/ULC 180:2021
(1) Cut tubing off square (no burrs)
(2) Slip nut over tubing
(3) slip sleeve over tubing
(4) Insert tubing into threaded
coupling and tighten nut
Top of Gauge
Communicating tubing, do not
distort, must not be plugged
(3/16" O.D. copper tubing)
Compression fitting
Reducing bushing
Tank opening is 2" NPT unless
specified differently.
(3/4" NPT minimum)
Keep tube in the tank
straight as possible.
Be sure the bottom of the
air chamber touches the
bottom of the tank.

INSTALLATION
Straighten out air chamber end and insert straight
through tank opening until it touches bottom of the tank.
Screw reducing bushing and compression fitting which
forms a tight joint between the tubing and the reducing
bushing. These fittings are on the tubing in order of
attachment. Then run the tubing to the desired gauge
location, cut to length and connect tubing to the gauge
end. Attach communicating tubing to wall to prevent it
from being damaged.
WARNING
Failure to make the following adjustment will result in
improper gauge reading.
Be sure the pointer indicates the first mark on the dial
before attaching the tube to the gauge head. If it is above
or below this mark remove plug from the bottom of the
case. Insert screwdriver vertically through the hole and
engage it in the slot of the self-locking adjustment
screw. If the pointer is below the first mark on the dial,
turn screw clockwise,
counterclockwise. Reinsert plug and attach tubing.
To read correct level, pump gauge, take a reading.
Pump again, take a reading. Pump and take a
reading until two readings are the same. Gauge
indicates correct tank volume now.
