Using Your Kettle:
Attention: During the first use the heating element undergoes a minor chemical reaction
that may result in a slight odor and/or minor smoking. It quickly goes away.
NOTE: we recommend using distilled water. The kettle should always be unplugged
when filling or adding water.
1. Open the lid and fill the Kettle with distilled water to desired level. Close lid and
place to side on dry counter.
CAUTION: Do not overfill the product or operate it when empty. Use 'MAX' and
'MIN' water indicator levels. Do not go under the minimum or over the maximum
level.
2. Pull out the power cord from the base unit and connect it to a power outlet.
3. Place the Kettle onto the base unit. Making sure there is no water on the exterior
bottom side of the Kettle before placing on the base.
4. This Kettle has an automatic safety shut off feature to protect against overheating. If
you turn on the Kettle with less than the minimum amount of water, it will still turn
on and function.
NOTE: If the automatic safety shut off is triggered, turn the Kettle off and unplug the
base from the electrical outlet and let stand to cool down 5 to 10 minutes. Refill with
desired water and turn back on.
5. Once water reaches boiling temperature, it will automatically shut-off. Disconnect
the Kettle from the electrical outlet.
6. Lift the Kettle from the base using its handle and pour out your hot water into your
mug or container.
CAUTION: Do not open the lid when pouring.
NOTE: If you need to heat water again, let the appliance rest for 60 seconds before
starting again.
WARNING: Always unplug the product from the electrical outlet when it is not in use
or will be left unattended.
Advance Programming
Keep Warm Function:
Press the power button
indicator light will start to flash, and the Kettle will begin heating. Once the water
boils, the Kettle will maintain a temperature of 185°F for 2 hours. The blue light will
continue to flash. Once 2 hours has been reached, the blue power indicator light will
stop flashing and the Kettle will shut off.
Temperature Presets:
Once a temperature preset is selected the blue power indicator light will illuminate and
the Kettle will begin heating.
