1.
Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove covering in the back of the car.
Open the entrance to the rearlight units.

Look for the existing rubber grommets which are located near the left and right rear light units and pierce a hole through them.
3.
Route the wiringharnesses in the boot and lead the 8-pole ends on the left and the 3-pole end on the right side through the hole to the socket.
Pull the coverplate over the wiringharnesses.
Remove the contactholder from the socket and fit the wires as follows:
Trailer lighting:
Left turn signal
Rearfoglight
Rearfoglight
Earth 1-8
Right turn signal
Right taillight
Brakelights
Left taillight
Reverse light
Battery supply
Earth 9-13

On both rearlight units a connector is located.
Disconnect them.
Connect the green, grey and red/black wires of the wiringharness corresponding with the connector on the right side.
Do the same with the other end on the left side.
Fit both white wires to chassis earth.
5.
Mount the socket on to the towbar.
Reconnect the battery and check all electric functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
