5 ) LED BREAKER OPEN
This LED lights red when the 10 Amps Output Breaker was trigge-
red. Turn off PowerPlant and reset the breaker. The LED should go
off when you turn on PowerPlant again.
6 ) LED WIRING ON
This LED lights green when PowerPlant is properly connected to
the mains and is turned on.
7 ) LED ABNORMAL VOLTAGE
This LED lights red when the mains power exceeds the valid vol-
tage range from 170 to 260 VAC. If this LED lights up, immediately
turn off PowerPlant and remove all connected peripherals. Contact
a qualified electrician and check your mains supply.
8 ) LED Voltage Meter
This LED display shows the incoming voltage at the mains socket
which is measured by the internal voltage meter. PowerPlant can
handle and display an incoming voltage in the range from 170 to
260 VAC.

Outlets on the rear panel
The following outlets are available on the back panel of PowerPlant:
11) IEC outlets DIGITAL FILTER
You can connect three digital devices such as computers and com-
puter displays, audio interfaces or even a CD player to the IEC outlets
in the DIGITAL FILTER section. The output voltage is constant at 230
VAC, the current is 5 amps. Accordingly, the overall power for all three
outlets is 1,150 watts for continuous operation.
Thanks to the multistage RFI filtering, any noise such as interferences
is effectively suppressed. If one of the sockets is used, the LED ZONE 1
(see point 4.) on the front panel lights green.
12) IEC outlets ANALOG FILTER
You can connect three analog devices such as an analog mixer
or other analog peripherals such as headphone amplifiers (e. g.
Nowsonic Hexacon) to the IEC outlets in the ANALOG FILTER section.
The output voltage is constant at 230 VAC, the current is 5 amps.
Accordingly, the overall power for all three outlets is 1,150 watts for
continuous operation.
Thanks to the multistage RFI filtering, any noise such as interferences
is effectively suppressed. If one of the sockets is used, the LED ZONE 2
(see point 4.) on the front panel lights green.
13) Earthing point CHASSIS GROUND
This knurled screw allows to connect external devices with the frame
ground of PowerPlant. In this case, PowerPlant serves as a central
earthing point which eliminates any ground loops and grounds the
peripherals to this central pin.
NOTE: If a device which is connected to PowerPlant starts to hum,
connect the frame ground of the device with the CHASSIS GROUND.
9 ) Retractable LED light
PowerPlant features a LED rack light. Despite of its brightness, the
LED provides low heat emission and can be pulled out to illumina-
te the rack front or pushed in when it is not in use.
10 ) DIMMER switch
With this switch, the brightness of the LED light can be toggled
between LOW (minimum brightness), HIGH (maximum brightness)
and OFF (LED off ). If you don't want to use the rack light, you
should push it in and set the switch to the OFF position.
11 ) USB CHARGER port
This USB port is used to connect external multimedia devices or an
USB light. When PowerPlant is powered on, the connected multi-
media device is automatically charged.
12
13
If humming occurs after connecting the device to the CHASSIS
GROUND, disconnect the device.
14) IEC outlet HIGH POWER
You can connect two power amplifiers (e. g. Nowsonic Titan 520 or
Titan 621) or similar devices to the IEC outlets in the HIGH POWER
section. The output voltage is constant at 230 VAC, the current is
8 amps. Accordingly, the overall power for the two outlets is 1,840
watts for continuous operation.
Thanks to the multistage RFI filtering, any noise such as interferences
is effectively suppressed. If one of the sockets is used, the LED ZONE 3
(see point 4.) on the front panel lights green.
NOTE: An internal sequencer delays the outlets in the HIGH POWER
section by 6 seconds with regard on the DIGITAL FILTER and ANALOG
FILTER zones. This allows you to safely turn on the peripherals connec-
ted to these outlets before the power amplifiers and the loudspeakers
connected to them are switched on.
When powering down, the HIGH POWER zone is accordingly turned
off first. After 6 seconds, the peripherals at the DIGITAL FILTER and
ANALOG FILTER outlets are also turned off.
15) Power cord
Connect PowerPlant via the internal power cable to the mains socket.
For a fault free operation, connect PowerPlant to a separately fused
socket to avoid any overload. If you want to combine multiple Power-
Plant units in order to handle higher loads, connect them to different
circuits to provide maximum power.
