Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could
harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should
be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned to your distributor or to
a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.
Thank you for choosing Toolland. Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If
the device was damaged in transit, do not install or use it and contact your dealer.

Safety Instructions
Before lifting, carefully inspect the hooks, the load chain, the brake device, and the lubrication of the block. For
your own safety, strictly respect the following rules:
Never lift a load exceeding the rated capacity of the chain block.
Never stand or pass directly under the lifted load.
Do not pull up the load too high or let go too far.
Do not use the device when the chain is kinked.
Never drag the load so as not to strain the block. Place the load vertically under the block and lift.
If the chain fails to move, do not pull the chain violently or increase the pulling force. Instead, stop the
operation immediately and check the chain block:
Check if an object is blocking the chain.

Have the parts checked.
o
Make sure the load does not exceed the capacity of the device.
o
Operate the device using manpower only.
Make sure the chain block, the transmitting parts, and the load chain are in good working order. Check the
lubrication of the transmitting parts.

General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to
the device is not covered by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the
warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the
dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
Keep this manual for future reference.
4.
Operation
1. Attach the load securely to the hook.
2. Stand in the plane of the chain block. Remember never to stand or to pass under the lifted load.
3. To lift the load, pull the hand chain in a steady motion. Do not tug at the chain.
4. To lower the load, gently release the chain so the load lowers smoothly.
5.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Store the chain block in a dry place.
Maintenance and inspection shall be done by a qualified technician. Never allow any layman to assemble or
disassemble the block.
