User Guide
1. Introduction
This User Guide is designed to help users familiarize themselves with the
construction, operation and maintenance of the NAUTILUS 8/1 submersible
pump. It is very important to read this information before installing or starting
to use the pump. To ensure the operational safety of your pump, we strongly
recommend that you carry out the maintenance and servicing work described
in this User Guide at the specified intervals, or call in an authorized
Rosenbauer service center to do so.
1.1. Labeling of instructions
The safety instructions in this User Guide are labeled with the general
safety symbol (safety symbol according to DIN 4844-W 9). Failure to
observe these instructions can endanger persons!
Warnings concerning electric current are labeled with safety symbols
according to DIN 4844-W 8 in this User Guide.
1.2. Safety instructions
IMPORTANT: Read these instructions carefully before starting to use your
NATUILUS 8/1 and observe all rules and instructions.
CAUTION: The device is designed exclusively for use in fire service
operations and may only be operated by persons who are familiar with
this User Guide, the device itself and current regulations pertaining
to work, safety and accident prevention. Rosenbauer does not accept
any liability for injury or damage caused directly or indirectly by
untrained persons, and/or failure to observe work, safety and accident
prevention rules.
CAUTION: Always use personal protection, such as safety shoes,
goggles, helmet and safety gloves.
