1. Introduction
Thank you for buying the VQS4RT3! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. Make
sure that the device was not damaged in transit. If it was, contact your dealer and postpone installation of this device.
2. Back Panel + Connections
• Connect up to 4 cameras with this device (connectors 1, 2, 3, 4).
• Each cannel is equipped with a video gain adjustment (G1, G2, G3, G4).
• There are 2 outputs:
! The SWITCH output emits the display mode you selected ; connect this output to a TV or monitor.
! The QUAD output emits the quad display (all 4 channels on 1 screen) continuously ; you may want to connect
this output to a video recording device.
• This device requires a 12V DC 500mA power supply. Mind the polarity.
3. InstaIIation
• Connect the cameras to the inputs at the back (1, 2, 3, 4).
• Connect the SWITCH and QUAD outputs to a TV, a monitor or a video recording device.
• Connect the 12V DC power supply to the unit and plug it into the mains.
4. Front Panel + Operation
• Press the QUAD key to see the quad display: all 4 channels are shown simultaneously.
• Press the SWITCH key to see the quad display followed by the full screen displays of the channels in the order as
shown on the front of the device in an endless loop. Dwell time is 3 seconds.
Black channels will automatically be skipped.
• Press one of the direct channel selection keys to see that channel in full screen mode.
5. System Setup / Auto Detection
• CCIR system setup: press QUAD +
• EIA system setup: press QUAD +
• If you don't select a system setup, the device will automatically select the system based on channel 1.
