Hanging/Setting up
Use the hook (8) to hang the product only.
• The product can be hung using the hook. Fold open the
hook (see illustration at right). Hook the smaller side of the
hook under the handle (1) and hang the larger side of the
hook on a tent pole, etc. Both ends of the hook rotate 360°.
• Remove the lamp shade (2) and use the base hook (7) to
hang the product. To do so, fold open the base hook from
its attachment and hang up the product upside down.
• To set up the light, carefully fold the base hook back to its original position. Place the product
on a horizontal, stable surface.
Using the camping lantern
a) LED indicator
The LED indicator lets you find the product in the dark easily.
• The LED indicator (3) flashes, if batteries have been inserted.
• The LED indicator turns off when you turn on the product with the on/off button (5).
b) Lighting modes
• Push the on/off button. The LED indicator turns off and the light turns on.
• Repeatedly and quickly press the on/off switch (within 2 seconds) to switch between the
product's modes: Bright lighting mode > dimmed lighting mode (energy saving mode).
• Wait for longer than 2 seconds and press the on/off button again. The light goes out.
c) Flashing mode
• The product must be turned off to switch to flashing mode. Turn off the product if necessary.
• Press and hold the on/off button for approx. 5 seconds. The light flashes.
• Press the on/off button again briefly. The light goes out.
d) Expanding the light field
• Turn the lamp shade (2) counter clockwise to remove it.
• You can set up the product or hang it using the base hook (see section "Hanging/Setting up").
Cleaning and care
• Never submerge the product in water.
• Remove the batteries before cleaning.
• Under no circumstances use aggressive cleanings agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical
solutions since these can penetrate the housing or impair functionality.
• Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning the product.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance
with applicable regulatory guidelines.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries are labeled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the
domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd
= Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on batteries, e.g. below the trash icon
on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever
batteries are sold.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
