Using the telephone
If you are using your phone and the E
hear a dialling tone in your handset. In this case, it is not necessary to end your call: the
E communication base will try to do its transfer later, without losing information.

If the E communication base uses the telephone line and you pick up the handset, you won't hear no

tone and it will be impossible for you to make a phone call. You just have to wait until the
E communication base terminates its transfer, indicator 9 will be off.

If you have high speed Internet ADSL connection (on a telephone line), make sure to connect your
E communication base through a telephone line filter provided by your Internet service provider.

TéléMédic recommends that you use a telephone socket multiplier (T adapter), telephone cable
(modular line cord) and networking cable CSA approved.
Precautionary measures
The E communication base is a precise scientific device that requires some basic precautions during

use. Following the advice listed below will ensure your communication base's longevity, durability and
optimal operating performance.
Never:

open or dismantle the device;
•
hit or throw;
•
subject the device to sudden temperature changes;
•
put the device in an area exposed to high temperature, high moisture or dusty contents;
•
clean the device with a vaporizing liquid, solvent or detergent;
•
immerse the device.
Maintenance

Use a soft lightly damp cloth.
Functional preventive check-ups
To ensure your E communication base's optimal operating performance, do the following check-ups:
