About LPTM2
Thank you for choosing the LPTM2 trigger. Every LPTM2 has been completely tested with a strict and complete test
protocol to ensure its good functioning. However, as a handmade equipment, some finition imperfection can be
visible, without impact on performances. We apologize for that, if it is the case on your LPTM2.
Before beginning, we remind you what follows:
Lightning photography is a dangerous activity. You shall take all necessary precautions under stormy
weather. Use of LPTM2 trigger is at your own risks and perils.
Equipment
Following equipment is necessary:
LPTM2 trigger
Start/stop
Start and stop of the trigger is realized by connecting or disconnecting the shutter release cable into the camera
connector on the LPTM2 (see item 6 above)
Battery level and replacement
LPTM2 trigger works with a CR2450 coin cell. A slow blinking of the battery indicator indicates a full battery. A fast
blinking of the battery indicator indicates a battery that is quite empty. In this case, it is necessary to change the
battery by unscrewing both screws that are present on the bottom side of the trigger.
Lightning detection
Sensitivity adjustment
A short press on the adjustment button permit to change
sensitivity. Sensitivity increases when the number of LEDs
that are activated increases (a too high sensitivity may
produce spurious detections).
Smartphone application
The application can be donwloaded on the Google Play Store under the name « LPTMcontrol ». It is compatible with
Android 5.0 or more. An iOS version will be released later.

Prefocus activation
A long press (several seconds) on the adjustment
button activates/deactivates the prefocus. Prefocus is
active when the "prefocus" LED is on.
