I
DESCRIPTION
The SH 8000/ S C 8000 modules are
47 - 862 MHz broad band head amplifiers.
The SH 8000 has ONE signal input.
The S C 8000 has FOUR signal inputs, to amplify
the signal coming from up to four frames.
I
INST LL TION ND ST RT-UP
- The power sources must be disconnected from
the mains before connecting or disconnecting
the module.
Connect the ground connection of the frame to the
ground of the antenna installation.
Fix the modules to the frame in the order shown in
the application example (see page 3), with the
power source on the right and the amplifier
SH 8000/ S C 8000 on the left of the unit.
Join the RF channel outputs via the F-F coaxial
bridge, and load the free output of module 1 with
75 , beside the power source.
Load the test output of the SH 8000 / S C 8000
with 75
(Ref. 84011).
Connect the Supply bus B 807 ref. 83807
between the modules (3) and the SPS.
Connect the power source to the mains.
I
G IN DJUSTMENT
Use a suitable screwdriver to turn the gain
adjustment.
Remember a level reduction must be applied at the
output according to the output channels.
I
RF LEVEL DJUSTMENT
Remove the coaxial bridge from the RF channel
output of module 1 beside the power source.
djust the output level of this module to
80 dBµV for COFDM (90 dBuV for TV M).
Connect the 75
coaxial bridge again.
Taking the measurement at the SH or S C
amplifier output, adjust the levels of the other
modules so that they are equalised to the level
of module 1, which has already been adjusted.
djust the amplifier gain, taking into account its
maximum output level and the reduction according
to the number of the channels in the installation,
as shown in Table 1 and Table 2.

- When there are both analog and digital channels,
the digital channels must be at least 10 dB lower
than the analog channels. In this case the
reduction shown in Table 2 is to be applied.
