Monitoring System
Product description and technical parameter
The BATTERY PACK is an expansion module specifically designed for PVI-AEC-EVO which provides a back-up for the PVI-
AEC-EVO monitoring system.
The battery pack includes 4 x 1,2Vdc AAA type Ni-Mh rechargeable batteries: please refer to the below table for the
characteristic.
The PVI-AEC-EVO System is equipped with an integrated battery charger that can recharge the batteries of the BATTERY
PACK. When the batteries are used for the first time, they may not be fully charged: to obtain a full charge, the battery pack
must be connected to the PVI-AEC-EVO (powered by 24Vdc source) for a period of at least 24h.
The BATTERY PACK is able to supply the PVI-AEC-EVO in case of the 24Vdc failure but is not able to turn on the PVI-AEC-EVO
from the shut down condition.
When the system is powered by the battery pack, there are no limitation to the embedded functionalities of the
system: the presence of the battery pack provides full system operation in absence of supply voltage 24Vdc.
The battery pack is able to keep the system up for a period of approximately 30 minutes, after which the system will
shut down completely.
In the event that the system PVI-AEC-EVO is equipped with the expansion module GSM / GPRS, the absence of supply
voltage 24Vdc, will be notified by sending an SMS alert containing "W004 - AC Failure" .
Once the power supply is back, (power supply is back while the system is powered by the BATTERY PACK) another SMS
is sent, to alert about this event.
If the power supply is reconnected after a full battery discharge, the system will send an SMS alerting about a system
boot event (I005 - Wake Up).
