• In winter or in cold weather, make sure that you do not get cold while your heart
rate is being measured.
• If you smoke or drink alcohol before the measurement, it is possible that your
heart rate may differ from your normal heart rate.
• While your heart rate is being measured, you should neither talk nor yawn or
breathe deeply. Otherwise the results from measuring the heart rate may be
inaccurate.
• If your heart rate should be very high or very low, the measurements are possibly
inaccurate.
• Measurements of the heart rate of infants and small children may possibly
likewise be inaccurate.
• Under no circumstances should you look directly into the light of the heart rate
sensor. This may cause damage to your sight.
• If the heart rate sensor is dirty, give it a wipe and try again.
