Transmitter Features:
TEL-MC transmitters are battery operated. TEL-MC is coded at the manufacturer with a unique address ID. Transmitter has
a test button for programming and follow on operational testing. When activated the RED LED will illuminate and the TEL-
MC will transmit a phone alert to the Silent Call Medallion series receiver. Low Battery YELLOW LED will flash every 10
seconds when batteries are in need of replacement.
Transmitter Mounting and Location:
The TEL-MC Medallion Series Transmitter is designed for indoor use only. The transmitter case has provisions for
mounting to a nail or screw on the wall. Velcro strip is also provided for mounting on desktop or wall. Avoid mounting
transmitter near large metal objects, other transmitting devices in close proximity or high current appliances that will degrade
the transmitter / receiver operation. Test transmitter mounting location before mounting to ensure proper system operation.
Adjust antenna for best results. Transmission range with a Silent Call Medallion Series receiver is approximately 500 feet.
Installation:
1.
The telephone transmitter will work with standard telephone lines and with most video phone RJ-45 outputs.
2.
To install the TEL-MC telephone transmitter on a conventional telephone line, plug the telephone transmitter
into any telephone outlet. Use the supplied dual adapter if you need to connect a telephone AND the transmitter to
the same outlet.
3.
To install the TEL-MC telephone transmitter on a videophone, plug the telephone transmitter into the telephone
outlet on the videophone. Use the supplied dual adapter if you need to connect a telephone AND the transmitter to
the videophone.
4.
If plugged into a two line telephone outlet, the telephone transmitter will respond to line one only.
5.
The TEL-MC transmitter may not work with digital phone systems. Please contact your telephone service provider
as filters may be necessary to filter out the modem tones associated with digital (DSL) or VOIP type services.
Operation:
1.
Whenever the telephone (or videophone) rings, the Red light on the telephone transmitter will light up and the
transmitter will send a signal to your Silent Call Medallion Series Receiver causing the receiver to activate Phone
Alert.
Replacement Batteries:
Use two AA 1.5V Alkaline Batteries. AA Batteries may be purchased from local retail stores. Transmitter is shipped with 2
AA Alkaline Batteries. Batteries may also be purchased Online at www.silentcall.com.

During that time, the unit will be repaired or replaced free of charge when shipped prepaid to Silent Call Communications. This warranty is void if the defect is caused by customer abuse or neglect.
