Connect the Switch as described in the chapter "Connection".
For the external 48 V power supply unit , please cf. the separate instructions provided.
Please also take note of the following:
▸
Installations with a land line: You need an easily accessible separator outside of the
installation.
▸
Installations with a plug connection: The outlet needs to be close to the installation and
needs to be easily accessible.
▸
Earth: Please ground the AC / DC power supply unit using the PE clamp.
▸
48 V connection: Please use 4 wires for the 48 V connection as described in
point "2. Connection" on page 13.
Now you may connect all your PoE ready devices to the Switch using an RJ45 Ethernet cable. Please
observe the maximum Ethernet cable length of 100 m for connection from the Switch to the devices.
Turn on the power supply unit last. After turning on the power supply unit, the Port LEDs will flash
twice. Depending on the type of device, it may take a couple of seconds before the Switch starts
providing power.
