■ CONNECTING TO ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY
ELECTRIC TOWEL RAIL
1- The equipment is double insulated Class II
2- The equipment does not have an earth wire and it is strictly forbidden to connect it to the earth.
3- For thermostats equipped with a pilot wire for connecting to a programming device it is essential to connect
the wires correctly.
Colour code: (see figure 1) BROWN connected to live / GREY Connected to neutral
BLACK connected to pilot wire (where appropriate)
4- If the pilot wire is not connected, the end of the conductor wire must be insulated.
▲ CONNECTING THE PILOT WIRE DIRECTLY TO THE ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY
5-
(LIVE, NEUTRAL OR EARTH) DAMAGES THE THERMOSTAT.
CAREFUL: Before installing or any repair of the electric circuit cut the power supply using the
circuit breaker or the main trip switch and make sure that there is no current in the power
supply line.
CONNECTING THE ELECTRIC TOWEL RAIL
■ FIRST USE
ELECTRIC TOWEL RAIL
1- Check the equipment is properly connected to the mains power supply and then test the various thermostat functions and set
the temperature set-point.
(See specific thermostat instruction manual.)
2- In the event of malfunction check that the equipment is properly connected to the mains power supply.
If the equipment is properly connected to the mains power supply and it still does not function correctly inform your installer or
manufacturer.
■ SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
ELECTRIC TOWEL RAIL
1- Do not disassemble or modify the equipment
2- So as to avoid all risk of electrocution:
- do not open the electric thermostat which has been sealed in the factory
- do not insert any metallic object into the thermostat
- the power cable fitted in the factory is not interchangeable, and it is delivered with a standard length that
must not be lengthened or shortened.
- If the cable is damaged you run the risk of serious injury and death. If it is replaced and incorrectly assembled then you
run the same risks of injury. If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's
after-sales service or similarly qualified people so as to avoid all danger.
WARNING: to avoid overheating do not cover the heating equipment. The heating equipment must not be place directly
above an electric plug socket.
3- This heating equipment is filled with a given quantity of thermodynamic fluid. Any repairs that require the equipment to be ope-
ned must only be carried out by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's approved representative.
4- So as to protect the environment disposal of the product if it is replaced or at the end of its life should be carried out using the
greatest care. In particular fluid residues should be disposed of by incineration at an approved site that meets local, regional or
national regulations, or else recuperated.
5- In the event of malfunction or any repairs contact your supplier.
