General information
Most of the models developed more recently come with five-pole motors. With this conversion kit you can upgrade an older model by im-
proving its running properties and adding a digital interface conforming to NEM 651. The central piece of the conversion kit is a new die-
cast chassis fitted with all the components required for operating the loco. The only parts that still need to be mounted are the lower light
conductors (see old chassis!).
Conversion
After lifting the body off the loco detach the current pick-up wires from the circuit board and remove the parts mounted on the bottom side
of the chassis. To take off the bogies force out the pins with a pointed object. Before assembling the loco cut out a section of the roof and
shorten the cab side window as shown in the drawing, using a knife or a scalpel.
Assembling
The first step in assembling the loco is mounting the bogies by means of the oins and the worm gear, using either the old parts ot those
packed with the conversion kit. Then slide the current pick-up wires through the holes in the chassis and solder them back onto the circuit
board. Put the body back into place and the loco is ready for its first run, powered by its new motor.
Digital operation
This model is equipped with a plug-in DCC socket as per NEM 651. To fit a digital decoder, remove the additional weight first and then re-
move the plug-in DC operation circuit plate and fit in a 6-pole decoder.
Quelques précisions

ner à vos modèles plus anciens de meilleures performances et les équiper d'interfaces digitales conformes aux normes NEM 651. La pi-
èce maîtresse du kit est un nouveau châssis lesté dans lequel le moteur, la platine avec interface digitale et tous les composants néces-
saires sont montés. Seul les diffuseurs de lumière inférieurs doivent être repris à l'ancien châssis.
Démontage
Pour effectuer le changement, il faut enlever la carrosserie de la locomotive puis désouder sur la platine les câbles des pantographes et
retirer les pièces reliées au châssis de la locomotive.
Assemblage
On dégage les bogies en appuyant avec un objet pointu. Après remontage, la „nouvelle" locomotive peut faire ses premiers essais.
Digitalisation
Le modèle de locomotive est équipé d'une interface NEM 651. Pour le montage d'un décodeur numérique, retirez le lest supplémentaire et
la platine analogique. Le décodeur peut alors être enfiché.
