    PREPARATION FOR USE RAISING AND LOWERING THE LID IMPORTANT: To open the lid, raise it as far as it will go until the lid support bracket ‘locks’ in the open position. To close the lid, lift it upward slightly until the lid support bracket ‘unlocks’ , and then gently lower the lid. TO AVOID DAMAGING THE CABINET OR THE LID, NEVER FORCE THE LID CLOSED.

    OPERATION INSERTING AND PLAYING A CD Press the POWER button on the front panel to turn the system ON, set the volume to a low level. Press the CD/USB button. Press the OP/CL button to open the CD drawer. Place a CD in the tray, with the printed label facing up.

    OPERATION REMOVING THE USB DRIVE Make sure to stop the playback and turn the unit off before removing the USB drive to avoid damage to the USB and the system. PLAYING IN MP3 MODE(UNDER CD/USB OPERATION) Press PLAY/PAUSE button to start or pause playback of the selected track in the CD/USB mode.

    OPERATION LISTENING TO THE RADIO Press the POWER button on the front panel to turn the system ON, set the volume to a low level. Press the AM or FM button to select the band. The tuner backlighting will come on. Rotate the tuning control to select a station.

    OPERATION PROGRAM RECORDING FROM A CD or MP3 DISC ONTO A USB DEVICE Perform steps 1 through 3 on page 10 to program the memory. Press the PLAY/ PAUSE button to start program playback. Select a track using the UP/F-F or DN/F-R buttons. Press the RECORD button twice to start recording; the USB icon will flash in the display.

    CARE AND MAINTENANCE REPLACING THE STYLUS: IMPORTANT: Avoid touching the stylus itself. Lift the tone arm off the tone arm rest. At the front end of the tone arm, place the tip of your fingernail between the stylus holder and the cartridge housing as shown, press down on the stylus holder until it separates from the cartridge housing.
