INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR TWIN OUTLET TEE
FITTING WITH P.O.L. CYLINDER CONNECTION
Failure to follow these instructions may result in an explosion or
fire that may cause property damage, serious injury or death.
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION AND USE of this Twin Outlet Tee. Installation or disconnection
of Twin Outlet Tee and leak testing must take place outdoors in a well ventilated area only.
2. DO NOT make modifications to this Twin Outlet Tee, if this Twin Outlet Tee does not fit return to place of purchase.
3. Examine the Twin Outlet Tee for damage. If damaged return to original place of purchase and exchange for a complete
new Twin Outlet Tee

4. Turn gas is turned "off" at cylinder by turning cylinder valve handle clockwise.
5. Move propane cylinder to an open well ventilated outdoor area prior to connecting the Twin Outlet Tee.
6. Remove the plastic thread protector from the P.O.L. fitting of the Twin Outlet Tee
7. DO NOT connect if Twin Outlet Tee P.O.L. nipple-O-ring is missing or damaged. Obtain and install a new nipple-O-ring
prior to connecting to propane cylinder valve outlet.
8. Using the plastic hand wheel connect the Twin Outlet Tee P.O.L. connection to the cylinder valve outlet by turning
P.O.L. fitting counterclockwise (left hand thread) until hand tight. Use hand wheel to tighten.
NOTE: The connection at the cylinder valve is a left hand thread. Turn the nut counterclockwise to install the
P.O.L. fitting into the cylinder valve outlet.
If you cannot complete the P.O.L. connection, disconnect the connection and repeat step 8. If you
are still unable to complete the connection, do not use this Twin Outlet Tee Consult your local

Note: Keep brass screw on covers in place when male cylinder thread connection outlets are not in use.
CHECK FOR LEAKS:
10.Before using your Twin Outlet Tee, check all connections for leaks using a mild soapy water solution. DO NOT use
matches, lighters or flame to check for leaks, you could cause an explosion.
11."Slowly" open the propane cylinder valve by turning the handle counterclockwise. Apply mild soapy solution to all
connections and look for bubbles. A expanding bubble or bubbles indicate a leak. Repair all leaks prior to using Twin
Outlet Tee.
12.If you cannot stop a leak by additional tightening of the connection turn "off" the propane cylinder valve Disconnect the
leaking connection and re-install as per step 8. Recheck for leaks as per step 11.
To prevent fire or explosion hazard when leak testing:
(1) NO SMOKING. DO NOT use or permit sources of ignition in the area while conducting a leak test.
(2) Conduct leak test outdoors in well ventilated area.
(3) DO NOT use matches, lighters or flame to check for leaks.
(4) DO NOT use Add - A - Flow Tee until any leaks are corrected
(5) If you are unable to stop a leak, shut-off the propane supply at the cylinder valve. Remove the
Add -A - Flow Tee from the propane cylinder valve outlet.
(6) Call a Gas Appliance Serviceman or your local propane gas supplier.
NOTE: The two male cylinder thread connection outlets are equipped with a backcheck valve that prevents the
flow of gas until the connection is made with the proper hose extension fitting.
DO NOT insert foreign objects into the backcheck valve of the male cylinder thread connections. If
cylinder valve is turned "on" high pressure gas will escape which could result in an explosion or fire
