Operating Instructions

Wear protective gloves when operating this unit and
when bending PVC. Blanket temperatures exceed
300 °F.
Failure to observe this warning will result in severe
injury or death.
• Inspect blankets before use. Do not use blankets
with worn or torn surfaces.
• Do not repair damaged or faulty blankets. This
blanket contains no user-serviceable parts.
• Do not fold, bend or crush blankets. Store in
reusable pouch when not in use.
• Unplug blankets when not in use.
• Never leave HOT blanket unattended.
• Use blankets to heat PVC conduit only. Do not
use on other materials, or in other applications.
Failure to observe these precautions may result in
injury or property damage.
1. Remove the blanket from its pouch.
2. Position the blanket under the PVC where the bend
is desired. Wrap the blanket securely with the
thermostat housing side out and secure with velcro
strap.
3. Support the PVC with blocks to ensure that the PVC
blanket does not rest on the floor. Damage to the
blanket may result if contact with the floor occurs.
4. Plug in the blanket to begin heating. Refer to the
warm-up times on the following page and check the
conduit frequently for softening by pressing the sides
of the blanket. The PVC is ready for bending when it
becomes very flexible.

5. Unplug the blanket and release the velcro strap.

cloth or sponge soaked in cool water. Keep water
and other liquids away from blanket at all times.
