1.
Remove the battery earth cable.
Make entrance to both rearlight-units.
Remove the covering in the back of the car.

Drill a hole at the back of the car or use an existing rubber grommet.
Remove carefully all metal particles around the hole and treat it with anti-rust paint
Fit the rubber grommet in the hole.
3.
Route the wiringharness in the boot and lead the 8-pole end through the hole to the socket.
Pull the coverplate over the wiringharness.
Remove the contactholder from the socket and fit the wires as follows:
Trailer lighting:
Left turn signal
Rearfoglight
Earth
Right turn signal
Right taillight
Brakelights
Left taillight
Rearfoglight

On both rearlight units connectors are located.
Disconnect them.
Connect the end of the wiringharness with the colours green and brown correspondingly with the connectors on the right side.
Connect the end of the wiring harness with the coulours black, yellow and red correspondingly with the connectors on the left side.
Under the covering of the roof of the car, a 4 pole connector is located. Connect this connector to the blue and grey end of the wiring harness.
Fit the white wire to chassis earth.
5.
Fit the socket on the towbar plate.
Reconnect the battery and check all electric functions, with trailer/caravan connected.
Reinstall disassembled parts.
