6. Safety tips

This section has information to help you use your device safely.

6.1 Exposure to the sun

The lowest energy level (1) is designed for safe use even after sun
exposure.
If you use energy levels 2-5, avoid further exposure to the sun
for 4 weeks before and 2 weeks after your treatment. This is
because higher quantities of melanin expose the skin to greater
risk when using any method of light-based hair removal. This
applies to all skin types, even those that don't seem to tan
quickly.
To protect recently treated skin when exposed to sunlight, be
sure to thoroughly apply sunscreen SPF 30 or higher, for 2
weeks after each hair removal session.
6.2 Exposure of pulse light to the eyes
Although you can use the device to treat facial hair take extra
care to avoid contact with the eyes.
E
Never use around or near the eyes. The device emits infra-red (IR) light
and may cause damage.
6.3 Wounds or infections
Wait for the affected area to heal before further use.
