LED LUMINAIRE WITH PROTECTIVE COVER AND MOTION DETECTOR
Read the complete manual before carrying out the installation and activating the system. Keep the
manual for future reference.
1. DESCRIPTION
This is an adaptable and energy-efficient LED luminaire with protective cover. With its homogeneous lighting
effect, the lamp ensures superior lighting in all conditions. As the lamp is equipped with a built-in PIR sensor,
it only switches on when necessary.
As soon as someone is detected, the light is switched on daylight-dependent. The PIR detector is most sensitive
to movements passing through the detection area. The sensitivity to movements directly towards the sensor
is about 50% less (see fig. 1).
The lamp only switches on once the set daylight condition (twilight level) is no longer reached and remains active
as long as human movement is detected.
This manual applies to the following lamp types:
colour
black
white
This spot is also available without built-in PIR sensor (see reference numbers 352-08615 and 352-08625).
2. USE
Suitable for corridors, hallways, stairways, lobbies, garages and sheltered outdoor areas.
Be aware of the following during installation:
• The detection range depends on the mounting position and the walking direction.
• As the movement sensor reacts to the temperature difference between heat sources and the ambient temperature,
the detection range changes according to the circumstances of the mounting position.
• Only mount the detector on stable walls.
• The detection range can be reduced by masking the lens.
• Keep a safe 1 metre distance from lamps mounted at the same height.
• Avoid heat and cold sources in the immediate detection range and below the lamp itself.
3. OPERATION
This lamp has a built-in passive infrared sensor (PIR) which responds to the displacement of heat caused by
persons and their movements. If the sensor detects movement, the lamp switches on automatically. Once
the set time (approx. 3 s to 30 min) after the final detection has lapsed, the lamp automatically switches off.
The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life the whole
luminaire shall be replaced.
4. MOUNTING
The lamp is designed for mounting on the wall at a height of 1 to 2 m.
The lamp is mounted as follows:
1. Open the lamp by unscrewing the two screws on the side of the protective cover (see fig. 3).
2. Remove the protective cover and the lampshade from the base (see fig. 3)
3. Insert the power supply cable through the cable inlet at the bottom of the base (see fig. 4)
4. Mark the drill holes on the wall and drill the holes the same size as the plugs provided.
5. Firmly press the plugs into the drill holes.
6. Mount the base onto the wall using the screws supplied.
7. Connect the wires as shown in the wiring diagram in fig. 6 and § 5.
8. Set the desired settings for the PIR sensor in fig. 5 and § 6.
9. Position the lampshade and the protective cover on the base and secure them with the two screws.
When the power to the lamp is switched on, the PIR sensor will be in warm-up mode for 1 minute: the lamp
stays on during this time.
5. WIRING
Connect the detector as shown in the wiring diagram in Fig. 6.

6. CONFIGURATION
6.1. Light sensitivity
Using the LUX potentiometer, you can set the threshold value of the twilight switch continuously between
(night mode, 5 lux) and ƒð (daytime mode, 2000 lux) (see fig. 5). The light is only switched on once the set
threshold value is reached.

6.2. Switch-off delay

Using the TIME potentiometer, the switch-off delay is set between 3 sec and 30 min (see fig. 5).
The switch-off delay determines the length of time the light stays on after the final movement in the detection area.
7. TROUBLESHOOTING
Malfunction
Solution
The lamp does not switch on
• The twilight value has not been reached. Increase the light sensitivity
• Check the lighting and the fuse.
The lamp switches on for no reason
• The twilight value has been reached. Lower the light sensitivity using
• Check detection area for causes of incorrectly switching on (heat
• Reduce the chances of errors by masking the lens
The lamp does not switch off
• Check detection area for causes of incorrectly switching on (heat
