THE PRODUCT: The crossed-out wheeled bin on the product (including accessories) means that it belongs to the family of
electrical and electronic equipment. In order to promote the recycling and recovery of Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE) and to ensure the protection of the environment, the European regulation 2012/19/EU on Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that used household appliances are not disposed of in the normal
municipal waste stream. Used appliances must be collected separately in order to maximise the recovery and recycling
rate of the materials from which they are made and to reduce the impact on the environment and human health. The
crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is displayed on all products as a reminder of the separate collection requirements.
Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer regarding the procedures to follow for the collection of their
appliance.
