1. PROPER USE OF THE PRODUCT
This box mechanism is an anti-theft device for trailers and cara-
vans. It can be used in either the coupled or decoupled state. In
the coupled state, the box mechanism may only be used with a
parked unit. Never during transportation.
This device is not designed to be used by children or persons
with limited mental capabilities or without experience and/or
lack of required specialist knowledge. Keep children away from
the device.
The device is not designated for commercial use. Use according
to the intended purpose also includes the observance of all
information in these operating instructions, particularly the
observance of the safety notes. Any other utilisation is
considered to be contrary to the intended purpose and may lead
to material damage or personal injuries. EAL GmbH assumes no
liability for damage resulting from improper use.

4. SAFETY NOTES
1. Keep children away and do not permit children to use this
device!
2. Only use this product for the intended use!
3. Do not manipulate or disassemble the device!
4. For your own safety, only use accessories or replacement parts
speci ed in the instructions or that the manufacturer has
recommended!
5. Only use the box mechanism on a coupled trailer when it is
at a standstill since sharp steering movements during travel
may result in damage to the bumper of the towing vehicle.
5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Open the box mechanism and place it over the coupling dog
of your trailer in such a way that the hand lever of the coupling
dog is positioned between the hinge and the bolt. When coupled,
pay attention to ensure that the ball neck of the car coupling is
between the two semi-circular cut-outs on the underside of the
box mechanism. After tting the box mechanism, secure it to the
securing plates on the underside using the discus lock.
6. CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Occasionally oil the hinge of the box mechanism. Lubricate the
discus lock occasionally using graphite or WD-40.
7. NOTES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Please dispose of this device via the recycling facilities or public/
community collection points.
The materials can be recycled. By recycling, reuse of materials
or other forms of reuse of old devices, you make an important
contribution to the protection of our environment!
