INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FLIP CAP RECEPTACLE INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
PARTS LIST:
Flip Cap Receptacle, Engine Block Heater Harness, Template, Stud Mount
Cable Tie, & Tie Straps
PREPARATION:
Read the installation procedures below before installing
BUMPER MOUNT INSTALLATION:
1. Allow all engine and cooling system components to cool.
2. Cut a hole in the bumper using the provided template. Hole will be the
exact profile of the cap, with an additional notch cut at the bottom. The
notch will allow the Front Disk (110140) to slide through the hole at an
angle. [Reference Figure 1 and 2]
3. Slide the Front Disk (110140) through the hole at an angle.
[Reference Figure 2]
4. Press all components into place, including the addition of the support
washer (103201). The Front Disk (110140) will press against the
bumper from the outside, and the Spring (115038) will press against
the inside of the bumper for a compression fit. [Reference Figure 3]
HARNESS INSTALLATION:
5. Bumper mount should be locked into place [Reference Figure 4]. The
harness will be routed from the front of the vehicle to the block heater
location on engine.
6. Using tie straps, secure cord approximately every 10 inches to prevent
contact with heated surfaces or moving parts.
7. Plug cord into block heater on the engine.
