System/network requirements
· Wired PoE network connection for each gateway.
· Gateways will need access to the Internet to communicate with the platform.
· If a firewall is in use to control outbound traffic, it will need to allow outbound network connections on the ports listed below:
Protocol TCP/UDP
NTP UDP
HTTPS TCP
Syslog-TLS TCP
MQTT - Secure TCP
· Gateways will need to be able to access a DHCP and a DNS service.
· To maximize network security, only install in a private, protected sub-net for IOT devices.
Prior to installation
· Dealer design team gives planned locations for gateways to customer IT.
· Review gateway placement guidelines on page 2.
