The Ninja Star™ is equipped with a power button and a light-sensitive trigger which automatically turns the light on at
dusk. The power button is the rubber square located on the bottom of the light. Click the power button once to turn the
light on. Once the light is on, it will automatically activate when the surrounding environment becomes dark enough.
The power button only needs to be pushed once. After you click the button, test the light by covering the solar panel
with your hand. If the light is on, it will activate when you cover the solar panel. If the light does not activate, try clicking
the power button again and covering the solar panel. If the light still does not activate, set the light in direct sunlight
for a day to charge and test again. The light only illuminates if the power button is pressed on and the light is in a dark
environment. If you are unsure if the power button is set to "On", cover the solar panel with your hand, take the light
to a dark area, or wait until the evening to see if the light activates.

CHOOSING A LOCATION

For optimum sun exposure and long nightly light output, place the light where it can receive at least 6 hours of daily
direct sunlight. A shaded location will not allow the battery to charge fully and may prevent it from charging at all.
This will reduce the number of hours the light will operate. Cloudy or rainy days may also impact total nightly runtime.
For best performance, ensure that the light is not near nighttime light sources such as porch and street lighting.

HOW TO INSTALL

The easiest, fastest way to install a Ninja Star™ is to place it on any flat surface, no mounting required!
If you wish to mount the light--either vertically or horizontally-- to a deck rail, post, or step, here's how:
1. Hold the light in the place where you want to mount it.
2. Use a pencil to mark the center of the mounting holes.
3. Click the power button "on". Then check to see if the light turns on when you cover the solar panel with your
hand. Leave the light on before mounting
4. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to install the screws through the mounting holes or drill pilot holes where you
made the marks and then install the screws.

MAINTENANCE
The LEDs last up to 30,000 hours. To keep your light working properly, clean the solar panel with a dry cloth or with
warm, soapy water. A dirty solar panel may not fully charge the battery which can shorten battery life and cause the
light to malfunction.
