OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Should this unit exhibit a problem, check the following before seeking service:
Symptom
Radio
Noise or sound distorted
on radio broadcasts.
AM or FM, no sound.
Compact Disc Player
CD Player will not play.
CD skips while playing.
General
No Sound.

Possible Cause
Station not tuned properly
for AM or FM.
FM: Antenna Wire is not
extended.
AM: Unit is not positioned
correctly.
Volume at minimum.
CD is installed or installed
incorrectly.
Disc is dirty or scratched.
Power cord disconnected.
No batteries, dead batteries
or batteries not installed
properly.
Power is off.

Solution
Retune the AM or FM
broadcast station.
Extend FM Antenna wire.
Rotate unit until best
reception is obtained.
Increase volume.
Insert CD with label facing
up.
Wipe disc with cloth or use
another disc.
Connect power cord.
Insert fresh batteries
properly.
Press the POWER button
to the in position to turn the
unit on.
