    If your computer has only a 25-pin serial port, you need to purchase a DB25/ DB25 serial cable. The serial modem cable provided with the 56K Serial Controller Faxmodem is intended for use with a 9-pin serial port on your computer.

Most office phones are wired through digital lines. If you do not know whether your phone line is analogue or digital, consult your telephone service provider or building facilities department.

Press and release the power button to turn the modem on. N ote: If the power LED does not light, the modem may not be turned on. Make sure that the power supply is connected between the modem and the electrical outlet.

Solut ion 1: Your communication software may not function properly if any of the following are true: More than one version of the software is installed on your computer.
