Take care that the solar panel does not become dirty and that it is
kept free of snow and ice in winter. Otherwise, the performance of
the solar panel could be affected. Cold temperatures affect the
service life of the battery adversely. If you do not require the device
for a longer period of time, for example in winter, clean it, and store
it in a warm, dry area.
Setting the Pole
1. Insert the stake (6) into the aluminium tube (5) and then insert the
pole vertically at least up the half into the soil.
2. Do not beat with a hammer or similar on the pest repeller.
Depending on the soil the pole can be set with or without drilling a
pilot hole with a depth of 20 cm.
Do not operate the device in frozen ground or irrigated locations.
Effectiveness of the product depends largely upon soil type. Moist
clay is the best conductor of sound; dry, sandy or peat soil does not
conduct the sonic waves as easily.
The best performance with the pest repeller will be achieved after
operating the device for up to 7 days continuously. The ground
rodents need some time to recognize the pest repeller as a disturb-
ing object and start to move away from this area.
Cleaning and Storing
The pest repeller is splash-proof (IPX4), but not water jet proof or
water-tight. Please remove the pest repeller when using high-
pressure cleaner in the vicinity of the repeller or when flooding is
expected.
To avoid damages due to freezing, remove the pest repeller in
winter.
Wipe the housing with a lightly moistened cloth. Do not immerse the
device in water or any other liquid.
Do not clean the device with aggressive chemicals or abrasives in
order not to damage the surface.
