IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Electrical safety
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is
an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of
electric shock.
Before use check the power supply and charger cables for signs of damage or ageing.
Do not handle the charger or the power tool with wet hands.
Personal Safety
1) Avoid Dangerous Environments – Don't use pole trimmers in damp or wet locations.
2) Don't Use In Rain.
3) Keep Children Away – All visitors should be kept at a distance from work area.
4) Dress Properly – Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can be caught in moving parts. Use of
rubber gloves and substantial footwear is recommended when working outdoors. Wear protective
hair covering to contain long hair.
5) Use Safety Glasses – Always use face or dust mask if operation is dusty.
6) Use Right Appliance – Do not use appliance for any job except that for which it is intended.
7) Avoid Unintentional Starting – Don't carry pole trimmer with finger on switch. Be sure
switch is off when trimmer is not being used, or during the battery charging process.
8) Danger – Risk of Cut – Keep Hands Away From Blades – Keep both hands on handles when power is on.
Do not attempt to remove cut material nor hold material to be cut when blades are moving. Make
sure trimmer switch is off when clearing jammed material from blades.
Do not grasp the exposed cutting blade or cutting edges when picking up or holding the pole trimmer.
Caution – blade will coast after turn off.
9) Don't Force Pole Trimmer – It will do the job better and with less likelihood of a risk of injury at the
rate for which it was designed.
10) Don't Overreach – Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
11) Stay Alert – Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate trimmer when you are tired, or under
the influence of alcohol, drugs or medications that cause drowsiness.
12) Store Idle Pole Trimmer Indoors – When not in use, trimmer should be stored indoors in dry,
and high or locked-up place – out of reach of children.
13) Maintain Pole Trimmer with Care – Keep cutting edges sharp and clean for best performance and to reduce the
risk of injury. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from
oil and grease.
14) Check Damaged Parts – Before further use of the pole trimmer, a guard or other part that is damaged should be
carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment
of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any other condition that may affect its
operation. A guard or other part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service
center unless indicated elsewhere in this manual.
Battery use and care:
Do not attempt to use the charger with any other product nor attempt to charge this product with another charger.
Using a charger from a different product may cause a risk of fire.
Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. If the liquid gets on the skin wash immediately with soap
and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and
seek medical attention. Liquid ejected from a battery may cause irritation or burns. In an emergency situation contact
professional help immediately!
