Sync Bluetooth
STEP 1 WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BEGIN
INSTALL ORDER:
Sync devices must be installed in a
specific order (1) bridge devices first, (2) then
clocks and/or repeaters. Do not attempt to set
clocks by bringing them to a bridge or another
clock. Clocks must work at install location.
NETWORK FIREWALL:
Must allow outbound connections and file downloads from OneVue URLs:
console.primexonevue.com
deviceapi-alt.primexonevue.com
deviceapi.primexonevue.com
onevueapi.primexonevue.com
us-east-1-production.s3.amazonaws.com
Bridge connection to a switch port:
Spanning tree portfast (STP) must be enabled when a switch port is not
connected to other routers or switches. Optionally STP can be turned off,
which is not the same as disable.
FIRST POWER-ON OPERATION:
Bridge enters 8-hour deployment mode: Bluetooth Network automatically builds
at the 20th and 50th minute of each hour. After each build, a bridge automatically
checks-in to OneVue to send Bluetooth clock data. Clock/repeater add a clock
mode: searches for Sync Bluetooth mesh network continuously for 8 hours.
REPEATER:
Located to address coverage gaps to allow clocks to form communication path
to nearest bridge.
STEP 3 INSTALL CLOCKS & REPEATERS
1. Is bridge in 8-hour deployment mode? If yes, continue on. If not,
first power-cycle the bridge.
2. Begin installing clocks and/or repeater closest to the bridge and
work outward in a logical manner. Devices must be first powered on
at their install location.
3. Do not wait for a clock to set its time; continue installing clocks
and return for a quick visual check later.
4. Remove Bluetooth ID tear-off label and place on floor plan/paper to
identify device install location.
